Mischa's super broke

Wow. Mischa Barton isn't too happy right now, from the sound of current reports claiming that she's getting her credit cards declined all over town. She might have lived in a $6-8 million home, but she's not living the high life any more! Poor girl.

Someone recently saw Mischa Barton shopping at Whole Foods, and she had one of those nightmare experiences that only happen on extra-bad days. Shopping with a friend, Mischa picked up some prepared pasta in a plastic tub and headed to the checkout, reported Radar Online (via Celebuzz).

We have a feeling that Mischa was really hungry, because she cracked open her pasta in the line and started nibbling on her to-be-purchased selection. (Was it marinated? Was she eating it with her hands?!) Radar Online reports what happened next:

"But things took at bad turn when the former O.C. star went to pay for the already-eaten item and her credit card was declined! Uh oh. So she tried another card and that was declined too."

Mischa's friend rescued her after she realized that she had absolutely no cash in her purse, either. "Mischa's friend quickly bailed her out, taking out his wallet and paying for their groceries. Poor Mischa looked upset and ducked her head," Radar concluded.

How broke do you think Mischa is? I'm curious whether or not the cards she was trying to use in Whole Foods were credit cards or debit cards. Yikes if it's the latter.
