Mischa Barton might hit the headlines from time to time when we wonder about her financial situation, but the truth is that she's been living in the lap of luxury in a stunning $8.4 million home. Amazing! We wonder what actor or actress will visit the open house?

Mischa Barton's said to have no cash, but she did have a wonderful Beverly Hills home to call her own, which had a Mediterranean vibe to it (and which was covered in some very not-LA ivy). Although some might not find the house as cute as I did, the "Tuscan Villa" home will have charm for the right buyer. It's certainly not one of those palatial, glass-filled pads perched on Laurel Canyon!

Mischa put the home up for sale to the tune of $8.4 million, after having owned it for almost 5 years. Purchased in 2005 for $6.4 million, the home is in a gated community and features six bedrooms and a whopping 10 bathrooms. It is 7,600 square feet and marks Mischa's hope for a career change and a change of pace in general.

Inside, the house is painted a curious burnt orange, and there's a lot of molding and exposed beams on display. There are views over the valley (alert: real estate porn), and there's a pool in the backyard as well.

The sale news comes after Mischa reportedly stopped paying rent for her New York place, following the cancellation of her show The Beautiful Life. More recently, Mischa attempted to resuscitate her career by playing a pregnant prostitute named Sunshine on Law & Order: SVU.
