Monsters Inc. Sequel in the Works

Disney wants to scare you all over again.

Sulley and Mike are coming out from under the bed for another round. A sequel to Monsters Inc., the hit 2001 Pixar film that thrilled audiences and critics alike, is set to hit theaters in 2012.

According to Variety, Pixar/Disney has announced Monsters, Inc. 2 is currently in development and will be released on November 16, 2012.

Grossing over a 1/2 billion dollars in 2001, Monsters Inc. was a huge hit for Pixar Studios, which is porbably why the movie is only the third Pixar film (after Toy Story and Cars) to recieve a sequel.

The film followed a company of monsters (led by John Goodman's furry blue monster, Sully, and the hilarious Billy Crystal's green eyeball, Mike) who collect the screams of children in order to power the city they live in.

Also on the Disney docket is Brave, featuring Reese Witherpoon as a princess who goes undercover as a bow-and-arrow heroine.
