More Bad News For Kristen Stewart: Parents Splitting, Her Mother Files For Divorce

Court Papers Reveal They First Separated in 2010

It seems like Kristen Stewart is drowning in relationship troubles. Not only is the Twilight star still dealing with the fallout from her public cheating scandal, it's just been reported by TMZ that her parents have filed for divorce.

Unlike Stewart's own relationship drama with longtime boyfriend/co-star Robert Pattinson - which ignited when photos of the actress and her Snow White director caught in flagrante were published by Us Weekly - her parents' split doesn't sound as if it came by out of left field. Reportedly, her writer/director mother, Jules and her producer father, John, have been separated since 2010.

Stewart's mother is the one who filed, citing irreconciliable differences.

Meanwhile, it's still unclear whether Pattison and Stewart will remain broken up or decide to reconcile. But it's not looking good. Pattinson recently put the L.A. home he and his former flame share(d) on the market.

It also remains to be seen if Pattinson and Stewart will be choose to appear together later this year to promote the last installment of the Twilight franchise, Breaking Dawn Part II.

While we think they owe it to their millions of fans to show up promote the movie, we can see how maybe a fresh start might be the best choice for everyone.
