Morgan Freeman is not dead.
Freeman is alive and well, despite the latest celebrity death hoax that had fans worried.
Freeman's latest death hoax was announced on a Facebook page called "R.I.P. Morgan Freeman," claiming he died on September 5.

It proves, yet again, that you can't believe everything you read online.
The page read: "At about 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, our beloved actor Morgan Freeman passed away due to a artery rupture. Morgan was born on June 1, 1937. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page."
People must have believed the sad news, because the status received 842,000 "likes."
Freeman's rep had to set the record straight, telling GossipCop.com that the actor is alive and well.
He was also on the end of another death hoax in 2010, which said he died in his home.

Freeman, despite keeping a low-key existence, by celebrity standards, also recently faced the scrutiny of reports that he was planning to marry step-granddaughter E'Dena Hines, which he shot down in a statement:
"The recent reports of any pending marriage or romantic relationship of me to anyone are defamatory fabrications from the tabloid media designed to sell papers. What is even more alarming is that these fabrications are now being picked up by the legitimate press as well."
