Morgan Freeman Says We Invented God
Does Morgan Freeman Believe in God?
Morgan Freeman has some interesting thoughts about God, as he revealed in a recent interview that he believes we invented God.
That's an interesting perspective from someone who played God on the big screen.
Freeman hosts the Science Channel's, Through the Wormhole With Morgan Freeman, a series that explores some pretty thought-provoking questions, including "Did we invent God?"

TheWrap.com asked Freeman this very question in a new interview, and he answered "yes," explaining, "Well, here's a scientific question: Has anybody ever seen hard evidence? What we get is theories from our earlier prophets. Now, people who think that God invented us think that the Earth can't be more than 6,000 years old. So I guess it's a question of belief."
Freeman added, "My belief system doesn't support a creator as such, as we can call God, who created us in His/Her/Its image."
What does Freeman believe about religion? While he says being asked if he's atheist or agnostic is "a hard question because ... I think we invented God," he does note, "So if I believe in God, and I do, it's because I think I'm God."
