Most Expensive Phone Bill Ever: Women Owes $15 Quadrillion
We Don't Even Know How Many Zeroes Is in a Quadrillion
This will put your cell phone bill in perspective: a woman in France received her phone bill and was shocked to find it was the most expensive phone bill ever, ringing up at $15 quadrillion dollars.
Or, to put it in numeric form, she was being told she owed 11,721,000,000,000,000 euros, which is 15,206,814,870,052,186 U.S. dollars.

"There were so many zeros I couldn't even work out how much it was," Solenne San Jose said.
The amount was a mistake, of course. And, despite the fact that that total is more than 6,000 times the amount of France's annual economic output, when San Jose called her phone company, Bouygues Telecom, she was told they could not alter her statement or stop the money from being taken from her bank account.
Never mind that, just guessing here, San Jose probably didn't have $15 quadrillion sitting in checking.

Finally, after a series of calls -- yes, it took several attempts to convince the company San Jose had not made $15 quadrillion worth of phone calls -- Bouygues Telecom admitted the bill had been a mistake, and that the woman's actual total due was 117.21 euros, or $152.13.
And the company's explanation for the ridiculous error: a bad printer and poor communication.
Poor communication … with a communication company. Sigh.
