Most New Yorkers Hear Neighbors Having Sex

They actually don't mind. Just don't do it in the morning.

New York is not for the bashful. Whether it's weaving your way through maniacal taxis or dealing with "amorous" next door neighbors, it takes a special kind of person who can stomach what the city has to offer.

Conducted by NYC homeowners' Web site BrickUnderground.com, the study found that over two-thirds of New York City residents regularly hear their neighbors doing the dirty. The survey also found that most people never confront the lovers, let alone call authorities to complain.

So how do the survey respondents feel about hearing other people's love-making sessions? 11 percent said they felt disgusted, 19 percent said they were jealous and 26 percent said they didn't really care.

And while the majority may not care if you do the act itself, it turns out they do care when you do it. A whopping 90 percent said they prefer that their neighbor's make noises anytime other than the morning.

So the next time you two are feeling hot and heavy in the morning, cut your fellow tenants a break and take a long breakfast. Your neighborhood will thank you for it.
