New Book Reveals Oprah, John Tesh Romance
The book hits stores tomorrow.
A new tell-all book from infamous celebrity investigative journalist Kitty Kelley claims talk show queen Oprah Winfrey shared her bed with host and new age musician John Tesh back in the '70s, until he fled out of fear in the middle of the night.
.
In an exclusive excerpt of the new biography obtained by New York Daily News, Kelley reveals Oprah and Tesh had an extended romance when they both worked in Nashville at rival tv stations.
Apparently the pair dated for awhile, but Tesh couldn't take the "social pressure" that comes with being an interracial couple, so he bolted in the middle of the night.
"He said one night he looked down and saw his white body next to her black body and couldn't take it anymore," a source reportedly told Kelley. "He walked out in the middle of the night. ... He told me he later felt very guilty about it."
The new biography of Oprah drops tomorrow, yet it is already #19 on Amazon's best-selling list because of preorders. That goes to show you how interested people are by details of Oprah's secretive love life.
Of course, it has to be taken with a grain of salt. Especially when the news comes from Kitty Kelley. Described as a "poison pen" biographer, Kelley's work has been called "Kitty litter" by many journalists who feel she laces her work with innuendo, questionable sources and unfair assumptions.
