New Moon Gets a New Book Cover

The new New Moon

The movie tie-in book cover for New Moon was just released and it features an exclusive image from the upcoming movie. Even if you already own New Moon, will you be purchasing the movie tie-in book?

The new cover features Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan in the arms of Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black. Your first thought might be, "What? Where's Edward Cullen?" But not to worry, because you'll notice the pretty face of Robert Pattinson in the moon above Kristen and Taylor.

The cover is a nice change from the original New Moon, which feature a tulip. Not sure what the tulip has to do with the story line? Well, neither does author Stephenie Meyer. While she had a big say in what went on the cover of the first Twilight book and that "the apple cover had a lot of meaning for me, and I was an active part of the covering process," she didn't have anything to do with New Moon's cover. She says, "I don't know what the tulip means—I didn't have anything to do with this one." As is usually the case in publishing, the publisher designed the cover. So, it's exciting to have this new, more meaningful cover.

Will you be purchasing the new New Moon book? Even if you already own the original, this could be a collector's item!
