New iPhone App Helps Drinkers Keep Tab
Drink up. Drink safe.
This holiday season, when all your friends want to go to the bars and get liquored up, try bringing a level head with you. Introducing "You Booze, You Looze," a new iPhone app that offers partiers an entertaining way to keep track of their drinking.
So Sammy's had too much tequila, Rosie is full on beer and Ricardo is belly-up in the gutter outside. You, on the other hand, have "You Booze, You Looze," the iPhone app that allows you to do everything from count calories to keep track of your drink tab and play fun games that test your sobriety.
Developed by Digital Goldfish, the makers of Bloons, one of Apple's 30 top games of all time, the application is designed to make drinkers think more about the health and wealth aspects of their boozing.
Among the app's features is a stats section that allows you to see how much you've consumed and how much the 40 shots of Grey Goose you just bought are going to cost. Then after playing games that test your inebriated coordination and balance, you can post the night's results on Facebook and compare with friends.
.
In the end, the application seeks to show users just how much fun they're having.
"By providing a real insight into actual consumption, it aims to raise awareness of potential alcohol harm by putting it at the heart of conversations between friends and colleagues," says Digital Goldfish's David Hamilton.
"You Booze, You Looze" is currently available at the iPhone app store for just $0.99.
