Nicolas Cage Is a Simple Guy, Really
Sure, Nic
Nicolas Cage is famous for his big roles and unforgettable characters--I loved him in Matchstick Men--but his spending sprees have also been well-documented. The actor's had to deal with foreclosure, auction, and being cash poor, but when he's asked about his possessions, he insists he's low-key.

Maybe he's low-key, now that he lost his castle and a bunch of his expensive cars, because there is nothing that says "I'm a frugal guy!" about Nicolas Cage. When he took to the red carpet for Season of the Witch, though, he was definitely doing his best to be cool with everyone.
Until you ask about his kid. You might remember that Nicolas Cage's 5-year-old son is named Kal-El, after Superman. You'd think that Nicolas would want to talk about his child having such a strange name, but that's not the case.
"My son's name is sort of private and important to me, so I'd rather not put him up for public consumption right now," he told OK!

When asked about his stuff, Nicolas said that there's little he must have with him.
"Well, I don't think there's anything I have to have with me except for some clothes, and I do like to have a phone with me. I like to stay in touch with the people I love," he said.
Do you believe that Nicolas Cage is low-maintenance? I was giggling at his answer, but perhaps he learned the errors of his ways, and he wants to concentrate on movies, not on stuff. That I would believe. His wish list must be awesome, though, and I bet he'll get another castle someday--a "retirement castle"?
