Nicole Kidman on Keeping Faith Margaret a Secret
It just happened.
Nicole Kidman wasn't trying to keep her daughter, Faith Margaret, a secret, but that's exactly what happened! The actress admitted that it was hard not to talk about it, but that she was committed to staying quiet for security reasons.

"I wanted to be able to tell everybody because I was so excited about her," Kidman told Giuliana Rancic on the SAGs red carpet.
"We just decided this was our thing together," Kidman said. "It kind of just perpetuated itself. [And] it protects her, and it protects everyone in the situation."
I'm going to be an incredible jerk and say that Nicole's actually had a lot of practice not talking about her children. She has Isabella and Connor from her marriage to Tom Cruise, and we don't hear much about them, do we?

Nicole Kidman's kid with Keith Urban, who was delivered via surrogate, is sure to have a quiet life away from the spotlight. Nicole spends most of her time in Nashville, Tennessee, on her farm, and she's not particularly chatty about her family life in general. I'm sure that Faith Margaret will be spared any future parental overshare, too.
