It turns out that Nicole Richie, mother of two, doesn't have to take her alcohol education classes right now:

"Richie's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holly, told the judge her client had a court-approved leave of absence from her required alcohol education classes to raise her two children, Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 9 months. Richie wasn't present during today's proceedings."
