No Jail for Lindsay Lohan but the Party's Over

Lindsay Lohan left court with a Chanel handbag and a slap on the wrist.

After testing positive for alcohol last week, everyone waited with bated breath to see whether bad girl Lindsay Lohan would finally be heading to jail. Fortunately for the star today, she has just been given a party restriction, limiting visits of one friend at a time at her Venice, Calif. loft.

Back in hot water at court today, a judge concluded that the only thing Lohan was guilty of was "extremely poor judgement", after her latest misdeameanour with alcohol last week.

As per the terms of Lohan's house arrest -- which she was placed under for stealing THAT necklace back in January -- booze was strictly off the menu. Nevertheless, in true Li-lo style, the star couldn't keep away from her favorite poison and got caught violating her probation.

Appearing at the L.A. courthouse today, Lohan appeared calm, impeccably dressed and, contrary to true Hollywood style, unfashionably on time. Of course, this new butter-wouldn't-melt-in-my-mouth attitude didn't fool Judge Stephanie Sautner, who swiftly took her down a few Balenciaga heel inches, telling her that she was to have no more parties at her crib.

Just hours before the controversial booze news, Lohan had been filming a sketch in her loft for Air New Zealand, who she had struck a deal to shoot a funny, puppet-filled webisode in order to promote some new airplane product. How this newest wrist slapping will go down for the Mean Girls star’s already turbulent career will now remain to be seen.
