One Direction: Louis Tomlinson Losing Hearing in One Ear Because of Screaming Fans
One Direction Member Suffering Mild Deafness
Uh-oh. One of the One Direction members, Louis Tomlinson, is going deaf in one ear.
And, it's not like this has been a long time coming, either. Tomlinson chalks the damage up to all of the band's wildly screaming fans, but is it very serious?
In a new interview with The Mirror, Tominson said he is slightly deaf in his right ear, developing a form of tinnitus.
Screaming girls will do that.

Tomlinson explained that after a show in Liverpool, he had a headache for three days and had some deafness in his right ear.
He noted: "I am going slightly deaf in my right ear. It's tinnitus ... something like that. All our fans are always very loud, especially Scousers."
The Mirror quotes a source close to One Direction who says the band has to wear noise-filtering earpieces: "They are only young and still developing, so management insist they wear hi-tech earpieces and filters to reduce the volume of the screaming and the music."
Is Tomlinson okay? The source notes that it's "now cleared up," adding, "he knows to be careful in future."

Coldplay's Chris Martin also suffers from tinnitus -- guess being a rockstar isn't all it's cracked up to be?
Look for One Direction to perform at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in September.
