Paula Abdul & Ellen DeGeneres: The entertainment world is abuzz about Paula Abdul's impersonation of Ellen DeGeneres when Paula hosted VH1's "Divas Live" on Thursday night (where Melissa Etheridge, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Hudson performed).

Referencing DeGeneres's post as Paula's American Idol replacement, Paula danced Ellen-style through the theater aisles dressed in a men's-style suit and Converses -- oh yeah, and a blonde wig. She later clarified that she meant the stunt only for fun, addressing Ellen with this: "All kidding aside, [I have] nothing but love for Ellen, and I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your new gig."

Oprah Winfrey & Whitney Houston: Last Monday's Oprah interview with Whitney Houston revealed jaw-dropping truths about Houston's 14-year marriage to Bobby Brown, which ended in 2007. Whitney trusted Oprah in longtime-girlfriend fashion and stunned us by revealing that Bobby Brown was jealous of her success and status, that he once spit on her after she threw him a birthday party, and that the final years of their marriage were ruled by their co-dependence on marijuana and cocaine. Whitney made it clear when she reached for Oprah's hand during a difficult answer that only Oprah could bring such honest confessions out of one of Hollywood's most loved -- and mysterious -- comebacks.

Alicia Keys & Mashonda Long: considered R&B's good girl, Alicia Keys recently surprised the press when we caught wind of her relationship with a married man, producer Swizz Beats. Swizz and Alicia met while writing Whitney Houston's song "Million Dollar Bill," and Swizz insists that when they began dating, his divorce with singer Mashonda was already underway. Mashonda has been vocal in disputing that claim, and last week she may have taken the drama too far: when Alicia Keys threw Swizz a birthday-slash-VMAs party early this week, Mashonda showed up uninvited. Sources say Mashonda paid bouncers $1,000 to get in to the party, and when she stormed her still-husband and his new love Alicia, Alicia somehow kept her cool.

Taylor Swift & Beyonce: Influenced by both Hennessy and the fact that Jay-Z owns Roc-A-Fella records (and, thus, owns Kanye West), Kanye's interruption of Taylor Swift at last week's VMAs was a zinger. "Beyonce made one of the best videos of all time," he yelled to the crowd, as a stunned 17-year-old Taylor looked on. Beyonce later brought Taylor Swift back on stage, saying that she remembers being young in her career and that Taylor deserved a second chance to thank her fans for voting her as winner of the year's best music video.
