Oprah Announces Her Show Will End in 2011

We never thought this day would come.

And we really never thought this day would come so soon! After all, 2011 isn't so far away; and that's when Oprah plans to end her long-running television show. TV just won't be quite the same without it!

The Oprah Winfrey Show just seems to be a natural part of our every day lives. Even though we may not watch her show every day, we know she's on every day and that in itself is kind of comforting.

On today's show, it's being said that Oprah will announce the final date for her show. Maybe we're just naive, but we didn't imagine that this day would be coming for a long time from now. According to the president of Oprah's production company, Harpo, "The sun will set on the Oprah show as its 25th season draws to a close on Sept. 9, 2011." That just feels way too soon!

But, while we're really sad Oprah's show will no longer remain as we know it, we highly doubt she'll be fading away any time soon. In fact, it seems that Oprah is ending her show in order to focus on her very own cable channel, where we're sure she'll have a show or two. So, though it may not be the same, it may actually be even better. That is, if you have cable, of course.
