Sparks Feud with Stepmother Over Sale

Well, look. She had to do something to redeem herself from those Kardashian interviews, right?

It's been reported that media mogul Oprah Winfrey recently purchased a barbershop owned by her father, Vernon, for $475,000 to save it from foreclosure. Considering Forbes reports the big O has earned $165 million just in the first half of 2012 alone, no big deal, right?

Wrong.

Vernon's step-wife, Barbara - who is not Oprah's biological mother - is apparently up in arms. She seems to think the barbershop business could have been profitable without Oprah's help had Vernon simply made better business decisions.

Apparently not caring how Barbara feels about thing one way or the other, Vernon, 80, has filed for divorce from her.

Although O will technically own the property, her father will continue to run the day-to-day business operations.

Oprah's history with her father is a complicated one and in recent years, their relationship has been described as strained. But it appears the two are - at the very least - still in contact. At least when it comes to family loans.
