Oprah Winfrey's Greatest Indulgence is Bathing? What?
Plus, Oprah Dishes on her OWN Failure
Oprah Winfrey, a woman who has it all, has one simple indulgence in her life ... bathing.
In a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, Winfrey admits that she loves to take baths. Not that this is really NEWS since she used to talk about them all the time on her talk show. But, whatever.
Winfrey's wealth conjures images of Oprah bathing in cash in a golden tub, but it's not quite the case.
Oprah says, "Bathing is my hobby. I love creating bathing experiences -- bath gels, bubbles, crystals, salts, lavender milks."
She also hangs out in the tub for a long time, sharing, "Oh, yeah! I go prune. I go waaaay prune. I've gone to sleep."
In the interview, Winfrey also gets candid about the failure of her OWN network, explaining that starting the network was her way of taking on a new challenge after she "reached the peak of the mountaintop" with the Oprah show.
She admits the network's shortcomings, telling the mag, "What was missing from OWN was me. It required my full-on energy. You know, this past year has been challenging, but it's also been one of the greatest experiences for me getting to know me. What do you do when you don't have the wind at your back?"
Perhaps Winfrey should take a break and just enjoy a nice long soak in a tub.
