Say hello to UNICEF's new Goodwill guy.

Orlando Bloom has been awarded the title of UNICEF's Goodwill Amabassador in recognition of his support of kids all over the world, reports PopEater. We might love ourselves some Angelina Jolie, but let's face it-- she's not the only one out there willing to lend a helping hand.

Orlando Bloom has been linked to the United Nation's Children's Fund since 2007, and he's been to locations around the world checking out children's resources, and how to improve them. Ug, he's not just devilishly good-looking then!

According to Bloom's recent statement to the press, he's happy about the newest partnership. Why shouldn't he be? Perhaps Orlando will influence a few more celebrities to start helping out.

"I look forward to working with UNICEF as they continue to make the world a better place for children," said Bloom in a written statement.

"We are proud to have Orlando Bloom as one of the strong voices for vulnerable children," responded Ann M. Veneman, Executive Director of UNICEF.

Speaking of celebrities helping out, I think I've discovered the only way to make Robert Pattinson hotter--have him align himself with a do-gooder project simply out of interest. Yowza. Am I right?
