Demi Lovato hasn't been home from her treatment center for very long, but it's already clear how good the time there was for her. She's admitted to battling eating disorders and cutting almost her whole life, but the Demi we've been seeing lately is happy, healthy-looking, and absolutely beautiful.
The other day on Twitter, Demi posted a photo of herself in a bikini and tweeted, "I've been working so hard to get healthy and fit.. I can't believe I'm about to do this but I'm so excited.. Here's my bikini time body!" How amazing does she look in her white bikini?
18-year-old Demi wants us to know just how far she's come and claims, "I never thought I'd ever feel confident enough to ever to that. I'm excited how far I've come since being completely ashamed of my body." Awww.
.
She also shares a special message to her fans, saying, "I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself... It hasn't been easy, but it starts with a commitment to yourself.. Your mind.. And your soul. And trust me, I'm still working at it!! Haha"

I think Demi Lovato is a great role model and I'm so proud she was able post a photo of herself looking fab in a bikini. But at the same time, do you think Demi is sending the wrong message to girls by implying that confidence is posting photos of yourself in a bikini on the internet? I wish Lovato would focus more on confidence meaning you're happy with yourself and less on displaying your body for all to see.
But still, keep it up, Demi! We've been needing a fabulous role model for young girls today!
