Paris Hilton managed to avoid some serious awkwardness when she arrived at an club in Sin City--she was almost staring right in the face of her ex, Benji Madden. That's one good reason to have handlers steering you though the fray: Paris and Benji didn't have the awkward face-to-face that some were expecting in Vegas.
Paris Hilton and Benji Madden were at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino at the same time in Vegas this weekend, but those weren't the only people in the potentially awkward scenario who would have been left burning with embarrassment has they accidentally met up. Doug Reinhardt, Paris Hilton's on-again boyfriend, was also milling around and mugging for the cameras that weekend in Nevada.
What were they both doing there? Good question. It seems a little random that they would show up at the same place in Vegas, but Paris Hilton was busy checking out the Hard Rock's newest restaurant, while Doug celebrated his birthday with her and his buddies at Body English afterwards.
Benji was busy performing with his friend's band Taintstick, and when Paris and Doug heard that he was at Wasted Space, a popular Vegas hangout, they "bolted," said a source.
I wonder if anything would have actually happened if the two, say, turned a corner and were face-to-face. Probably nothing, but who wants to stare at an ex?
