Paris Hilton's Delta Flight Was Evacuated

Paris Hilton flies Delta? The socialite and her boyfriend, Cy Waits, were taken off their flight along with many others when a large knife was found onboard. Nothing like a little scare to jump-start your vacation.

Paris Hilton called the incident "scary" on Twitter and wrote "They just finished the security sweep of the plane. About to board again. So strange a knife got on board. Can't wait to get to Maui."

There's a happy ending to the knife story, though: the knife on the flight was a box cutter, and it belonged to the crew! I'm happy, since I would like to avoid having the TSA ramp up their efforts yet again. Gulp. Sometimes I dream about the innocent days of flying, when they had hand-printed flight schedules and dapper porters.

Paris was low-key about the trouble, wasn't she? One time I was waiting for a connecting flight, and I ended up sitting for two hours on the tarmac because someone's dog freaked out on the plane. It was terrible, because I get leg cramps and stress sweats, and two extra hours makes an eight-hour flight so much more uncomfortable. Ouch!
