Paula Abdul on Dancing With the Stars?

She's got plenty of free time now.

So she thinks she can dance?

After all the recent drama with American idol, Paula Abdul may just want to take some time to relax. But if ABC has its way, the former AI judge will have a new gig before she can catch her breath. Producers for Dancing with the Stars have expressed interest in signing Abdul up for the show.

"We would love to have her on Dancing whether it's as a contestant or a participant, judge, etc.," said ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson.

"I was a little stunned by the decision [to leave American Idol]," he continued. "I think she's a huge talent. There's a sensitivity and emotion in her that balances out Idol, and we'd love to get a piece of that."

Ever since Abdul officially announced her departure from the number one reality show on television, she has reportedly received numerous offers from other shows, including a spot as a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance.

So if you were worried you would lose your weekly fixing of Paula Abdul, you can rest easy. With all these job offers, it looks like she'll be around for a long time to come.
