'Jersey Shore' Star Pauly D Gets MTV Spinoff Series

Pauly D is getting a Jersey Shore spinoff.

Clearly this is a sign of the apocalypse.

Lest you think that the Jersey Shore gang's 15 minutes of fame were up, leave it to MTV to give star Pauly D his very own spinoff reality series.

While most believe the Jersey Shore has run its course (seriously, how much GTL can you take?), MTV feels there are still stories to be told.

The Pauly D Project will premiere on MTV on March 29 at 10:30 p.m, following the premiere of the revamped Punk'd.

What is the new reality show about?

It's about Pauly D pursuing his dreams as a DJ, getting a record contract and opening for Britney Spears on her "Femme Fatale" tour.

The action, won't, however, center on the Jersey Shore, but will instead have much of the filming take place in Delvecchio's home state of Rhode Island.

Let me pause to yawn ...
