Peter Facinelli Shares New Moon and Eclipse Details

Peter Facinelli is quickly becoming one of our favorite Twilight stars. Well, aside from Robert Pattinson, of course. But really, Peter Facinelli has been sharing so much with us about the upcoming release of New Moon and the filming of Eclipse, we can't help but love him.

Peter Facinelli recently talked to MoviePhone about details from the upcoming Twilight movies. He mentions the action level in the movies a lot. As a male actor in the movies, he must be super excited for some major fighting scenes. But of course, he mentions the love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob also plays a huge role in the movie.

Facinelli says, "New Moon is going to have a lot more action than Twilight, which I'm excited about, and then take the action in New Moon and double it in Eclipse. I get to be a part of that action, which is fun because Carlisle is this calm figure. I think the vampire brawls are going to be exciting." We agree! Especially when you throw Dakota Fanning as Jane into the vampire mix.

Peter Facinelli isn't positive if his character Carlisle is portrayed completely the way he is in the books, but it seems he probably is. We understand why Facinelli is having a hard time distinguishing! He says, "As an actor I read the books, then I read them again, then I read them again and then I put them down and read the script, which becomes my main focus... So by the time the [first] movie came out I didn't remember what was or wasn't in the books. I just saw the movie as a complete entity in itself. Nothing stuck out in my mind that should have been in the movie."

The first movie did correspond really, really closely with the book, so we're interested to see if New Moon and Eclipse are exactly the same as well. We'll continue paying attention to Peter Facinelli to see what else he has to say about the upcoming Twilight films!
