Pink Protects Pregnancy on Twitter

Pink: "Let me gain my weight in PEACE."

Pink is pregnant, as she confirmed on "The Ellen Show" this week. We, of course, had been speculating for days, but after her big announcement she took to Twitter to tell the world how she expects us to carry the news...always funny but notably firm, here's what Pink's asking.

Wednesday we reported that Pink had confirmed her pregnancy to husband Carey Hart. In an interview last week, Pink hinted that the pair had been engaged in baby talk, and when Pink stepped out in belly-scaling bikini over the weekend, we were all but certain she was rocking the mom-to-be vibe.

The UK's "Daily Mail" sums up how Pink made her pregnancy announcement: "When Ellen asked Pink why she was glowing, the 31-year-old singer replied, 'I'm eating for two these days.'" The crowd went wild and so did the Web, with nearly every entertainment site publishing "Pink confirms pregnancy" stories.

Many of you wished Pink your congratulations via Twitter...and she replied with grace. Then she dealt, tweeting to her 2.5 million followers: "Ok tweethearts: here's my own personal official whatever...Carey Hart knocked me up and I don't know how to tell my dad. What do I say?" Then she said, "Maybe I'll ask him to watch @theellenshow today. Tee hee. No, we're very happy, and I can eat whatever I want. Thanks for all the love."

Later Pink jokingly tweeted that her dad was happy with the news, but she asked her followers not to tell her puppy because he would be "devastated." Then, Pink got a little serious, making her desires regarding the press clear: "My wish for this pregnancy, besides a healthy happy baby, is for the paparazzi to LEAVE US ALONE and let me gain my weight in PEACE. #mywish"
