Groceries? Check. Seatbelt? Check. Newborn baby? Not so much ...

It's tough to be a mom. Taking care of a child while driving around and doing errands can be an arduous task, and it can be challenging to remember everything that you're supposed to do when dealing with this rat race we call life. But, is that any excuse for leaving your 5-week-old baby on the roof of your car -- and then driving off?

Catalina Clouser, who admitted to toking up prior to the incident, realized that her baby was "missing" once she got home. According to azcentral.com, she went on to contact some friends to try and get them to search for her absent child, not knowing where she could have misplaced it.

Phoenix fire officials found the child on a road, still strapped into his car seat. Happily, the toddler was "perfectly OK", according Officer James Holmes, a spokesman for Phoenix police.

To the shock of no one, the baby is now in the custody of Arizona Child Protective Services, and Clouser was arrested for child abuse and aggravated DUI charges.
