Rainn Wilson Does Interview Covered in Pudding, Almost Nude

Rainn Wilson Talks Emmys

Rainn Wilson likes to talk about the Emmys wearing just underwear, unshowered, and covered with pudding--at least when he's talking to PopEater. The Office king otherwise known as Dwight Schrute sat down on AIM to shoot the breeze with PopEater, and they diligently posted it all for us to read.

Rainn Wilson plays a seriously awesome, seriously deranged character on the beloved show The Office, but he hasn't let the adoration go to his head at all. Staring his most recent Emmy nomination full in the face, he admitted that "It's really a thrill. I mean I play an annoying, unlikeable, fascist nerd, kiss-ass and yet the academy keeps nominating me for the category." At least he's honest!

From a raspberry picker to a "'Man with a Van' type," Rainn had the drive to keep on acting through some pretty crap jobs, and it's a good thing he did. We do love ourselves some Dwight, and Wilson admitted that some of his personal highs were when he used the teapot as a neti pot, dressed up like an elf, and went basically nuts in "The Injury." Good times.

Rainn also took the time to send his cast members some love, telling PopEater that John Krakinski might have been a better Dwight than he is. (What?!) "I'm not exaggerating," Rainn said. "He is a comic genius - stuck in the form of a hot/cool dude. Someday I hope he gets cast in some great, weird character roles! He's one of the best actors I've ever worked with."
