Rapper Debuts New Heath Ledger Music Video
His talent keeps going.
Heath Ledger may be gone, but his art lives on. The late actor passed away almost two years ago yet new material he was working on at the time continues to be unveiled. His last film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, opens at theaters in a couple months, and now a new music video he directed before his death has hit the internet.
N'fa Forster-Jones, an Australian rapper and childhood friend of Ledger, posted the 3 1/2 minute video on his YouTube and MySpace pages along with a video of himself talking about the experience. The song is called "Cause An Effect," and Forster-Jones says it was shot in a single day in the garage of Ledger's apartment.
"He gave me a call one morning, as he often did at crazy hours, and he's like, 'N'fa, I've got this idea for a video,'" he says in the posting.
"He was basically running around directing me each shot," he added. "It was a really cool day."
"Every day I count my blessings that I got to have him direct this piece of art," he said.
The short music video was first shown at the Rome Film Festival earlier this month.
