She was "hot," really?

I haven't thought of Renee Zellweger as "smokin' hot" in a long, long time. Is that wrong? I know it's mean to say that about someone who just broke up with her boyfriend and is handling media buzz about it, but oh, well. She's trying hard, at least.

It actually sounds like Renee was having a squeeeee! breakup revenge moment when she went to a restaurant looking extremely hot. Poor Renee! She subscribes to the "best revenge is living well" concept, one of my personal favorites... but you've got to do it with class.

Renee went to La Esquina restaurant in New York City, looking fabulous, and she was giving everybody a bit to buzz about.

"She wore a skin-tight black dress and amazing lace-up shoes," an eyewitness told Us. "She looked smokin' hot."

This sounds like it's from her camp: the insider-y source even added that "At one point, three waiters came up to see if the table needed anything because they wanted to check out Renee."

Um, I am not impressed with Renee looking "smokin' hot" (don't believe it), but I give her credit for putting on a brave face when the world knows her business. Imagine walking into a party after a recent breakup, and knowing that every person in the room is aware of your split with a hot boyfriend... who also raked it in at the box office. Ouch!
