Rihanna Caught Partying With Chris Brown's Friends

Have you ever had that friend who acts as an awesome go-between for you and your love interest? A new after-party report reveals that even though she's dating L.A. Dodger Matt Kemp, Rihanna keeps Chris Brown's friends close...could this explain why she and Matt were fighting earlier this week?

Rihanna hit up Drai nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday night and was spotted hanging next to Andre Merritt, a close friend of Chris Brown. Merritt co-wrote "Disturbia" with Chris and Rihanna and is said to maintain close ties to Chris Brown...was Rihanna trying to create some stir that would get back to Chris?

It actually looks possible, because at one point photogs snapped red-headed, polka-dotted Rihanna and Matt Kemp in what looked like a disagreement inside Kemp's car. Bossip reports that Rihanna was giving Matt "the death stare" and that the pair didn't look friendly with each other -- at all.

Is Rihanna the one with the quick temper? Could definitely be...and while we're glad she chooses to stay far from Chris Brown, looks like her ties to his team could indicate that there's still interest there. Matt Kemp, sometimes love's like baseball: head's up.
