Never afraid to make a statement, Rihanna debuted an orange-ish hue complete with black streaks set in to frame her face. Previously warm flipped to one side and a little more wiry, now Rihanna's hair has settled into the smooth bowlcut trend also popularized by model Agyness Deyn and Selma Blair.

We hope that Rihanna's going to lay off the color for a while to protect her tresses, but at least the new hairdo is hot. Actually, this isn't the first time Rihanna's sported a look like this, but we haven't seen it in a while. Besides Rihanna, the style has been captured on the runway, on Estelle, and then there's Kelly Osbourne's former bowl-ish crop as well.

What do you think of Rihanna's new style? It's not for the faint of heart, nor the round of face. To make this look more wearable, take a look at inspired styles snapped on and off the runway, and try to incorporate some bob-like layering instead of the fully rounded bowl styles. Bangs and a graduated cut will make this look much more doable!

As for the colors? We recommend that you leave it up to the pros, and ones who don't make you go all brassy. Confidence is always in, so know your boundaries and aim for something that complements your complexion, like a deep chestnut with face-framing highlights, or a funky, ashy blonde that's a touch '80s.

One thing's certain: Rihanna has guts to pull this look off!
