Rihanna Does Share Houston's Love of the Bad Boys
Pop star Rihanna says Whitney Houston inspired her to be a singer, and now she wants to portray her idol on the big screen.

"My first song that I remember falling (in) love with was a Whitney Houston song: 'I Will Always Love You,'" Rihanna told The Press Association, as reported by US Weekly. "It was really inspiring and it made me develop a passion for music, so really, she's partly responsible for me being here in this industry."
Rihanna's love of music isn't the only thing the two pop divas have in common, of course.
Given the fact that she can stand to even be in the same room as abusive ex Chris Brown, let alone reportedly rekindle her relationship with him (and record a duet), suggests Rihanna probably understands Whitney Houston's attraction to bad boy Bobby Brown, too.

The thought of playing Houston looms so large in Rihanna's mind that she says it would become her only priority if the opportunity to play the part arose.
"That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off," she said. "That's a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job."
Rihanna makes her movie debut next month in Battleship -- yes, the movie that was "inspired" by the classic "You sank my battleship" boardgame. Check out the movie's trailer below (do you think she has the acting chops to pull of being Whitney?)
