Rihanna is set to rake in a cool $5 million pounds -- just to flip a switch to turn on holiday decorations in London.

Wow. Who knew flipping a switch paid so well?

The singer will be turning on the Christmas lights at London's Westfield Stratford shopping center.

To be fair, she'll also be giving a concert. Well, a mini-concert, anyway.

The Sun newspaper reports, "Rihanna's thrilled. She knows it's a big deal and is totally up for it -- if it fits in with her schedule."

Who wouldn't be thrilled by having that easy money get deposited right in the bank?

A source adds that ''Westfield have had a great year due to the Olympics and want to fork out to celebrate. Even though the final contract is still being thrashed out, they're prepared to pay up to £5 million for her. They are expecting around 20,000 people to swamp the park.''

There was competition for the gig, as the Spice Girls were also reportedly considered for the appearance.

Myf Ryan, general manager for marketing at Westfield, noted, ''The Christmas light switch-on at Westfield Stratford City is one of the highlights of the festive calendar."

He added, ''This year we want to thank our loyal shoppers by giving them something they'll never forget.'' And, Rihanna, too.
