When it comes to dragging ourselves out of bed in the morning, the smell of bacon, eggs and coffee usually does the trick. But there's one other thing that guarantees a great start to the day: sex. A new study says a lot of us like to get down and dirty in the morning.

Our friends over at YourTango.com have stumbled on the eye-opening report, which says a whopping 34 percent of Americans like a little nookie with their morning cookie.

That's a small step ahead of the folks who like to do it in the evening after work (26 percent) and one giant leap in front of the night owls who have sex after Leno and Letterman have put everyone else to bed (23 percent).

Of course, the more adventurous lovers out there don't let petty daytime responsibilities get in their way. 8 percent say they rush home on their lunch break, and 9 percent say they leave work in the middle of the day whenever they need a little sexual healing.

But if you're like us, it doesn't matter if it's the crack of dawn or the dead of night -- sex is a welcome treat at any time of the day.
