Rise And Shine! Taco Bell Puts Mountain Dew Drink On Its Breakfast Menu
‘Mountain Dew A.M.' Mixes Soda and OJ
Call it the Honey Boo Boo effect. These days, Mountain Dew is making a comeback. The highly caffeinated, loaded with sugar beverage provides such a jolt, fast food chain Taco Bell is adding it to its breakfast menu. You know, for those who think coffee is for sissies.
The concoction, which is being called "Mountain Dew A.M." is a mix of Mountain Dew and orange juice. The ratio of soda to juice, for now, is unclear. There's also no information available yet on how many calories the drink contains. But judging by another item on the breakfast menu -the 680-calorie "A.M. Crunchwrap" - we're betting the number is up there.
Taco Bell first started offering breakfast - which the chain refers to as "First Meal" - earlier this year in about 800 of its locations. The menu is set to go national in 2014.

It's not the only company looking to cash in on Mountain Dew's newfound popularity. PepsiCo also plans to debut "Mountain Dew Kickstart" - another mix of soda and juice - sometime next year.
