Robert Pattinson: Girls Want Edward, Not Me

"I still can't get a date," says Robert Pattinson. Wha?!

In a new interview with an Australian newspaper, Robert Pattinson says -- unbelievably -- that he has no luck with the ladies.

"Girls scream out for Edward, not for me," Pattinson said. "I still can't get a date."

Wow. Pattinson goes on to surprise us, saying his role in New Moon is not as substantial as we've been expecting. "I'm not the lead in the second film. Taylor is," he says. "I appear in Bella's dreams. So I'm in it but the focus is not on me." Pattinson says he has "significant moments" in the opening and closing of the film.

And, despite the fact that he can't get a date (come on!), Pattinson says the lower profile in New Moon quite suits him. "I don't have to hold the movie or worry about the fans. I think I did it better without all those pressures."
