Robert Pattinson Schedules Interview on 'Good Morning America' -- His First Since the Scandal -- for Aug. 15 [SLIDESHOW]
It's His First TV Appearance Since Those Kristin Stewart Photos Were Published
The good news: Robert Pattinson has a new movie project to promote, giving him something to think about besides the public humiliation handed to him by his cheating (ex?) girlfriend, Kristin Stewart.

The downside of that: He's going to have to promote the movie, which undoubtedly means answering at least a few questions about the current state of, ahem, affairs in his relationship with his Twilight co-star.
And first up on his schedule of promotion for the movie Cosmopolis is a stop at Good Morning America on ABC, where he'll sit for an interview on Aug. 15.
Pattinson, who has reportedly been maintaining a low profile since the Stewart scandal by staying at friend and Water for Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon's home in Ojai, California, plays a young billionaire in Cosmopolis, a drama directed by David Cronenberg.

The Aug. 17 film finds his character, an asset manager named Eric Packer, riding in a limo across traffic jam-packed Manhattan on his way to get a haircut when the day takes some drastic, life-ruining turns.
The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo.
Of course, as tough as these initial promotional interviews for Cosmopolis may be for Pattinson, they're nothing compared to what he has to look forward to this fall.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2, the final installment in the Twilight movie series, hits theaters on Nov. 16, which means global promotion for Pattinson and Stewart.
And no matter what the status of their relationship at that point, interviews are going to be asking some very personal, potentially very awkward, questions.
