Robert Pattinson and Paul McCartney on '30 Rock?'
Fangs on Rockefeller.
When a tv show starts to make it big, its stars can fantasize about who they would like to guest-star. For 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin, who just won an Emmy for outstanding actor in a comedy series, it's Paul McCartney. And for Alec Baldwin's 14 year-old daughter, it's Robert Pattinson.
Backstage at Los Angeles's Nokia Theater during Sunday night's Emmy Awards, Baldwin, 51, gushed about having the former Beatle play a part on the show. "I want [Paul] McCartney to come on," he said. "We're working on it."
But Baldwin's 14 year-old daughter, Ireland, has her eyes set on another rock star of sorts: Robert Pattinson.
"Well, I'm sure that Robert Pattinson has no shortage of shows that want him to come on, like Desperate Housewives and shows like that," said Papa Baldwin. "I'm sure those women would like to get their hands on Robert Pattinson."
Alec Baldwin has reason to dream about big names. His show, NBC's 30 Rock, is widely regarded as one of the best comedies on television. It was honored as such on Sunday night when it won for best comedy series.
The show has also become popular for its use of cameos and guest stars. The show's writers make it a point not to suck up and get starry-eyed with celebrities, with the exception of one person.
"The thing about our show is our writers actually don't write for the guest stars – they write the parts and the scripts they want to write and then they go and find people to play those parts," he said. "There might have been one exception, which was Oprah."
