Robert Pattinson vs. Zac Efron: Who Has More Staying Power?

I know you're probably all thinking, "What a dumb question! Obviously Robert Pattinson has more staying power." But just because he's outrageously popular right now, doesn't necessarily mean he's going to last longer, does it? Maybe Zac Efron has something on him.

E! recently asked the question of who has a more promising career- Robert Pattinson or Zac Efron. They did an excellent analyzation and got over 567 comments on the piece. Clearly people have strong opinions about their favorite male stars!

While we think a majority of girls would probably be claiming Robert Pattinson will be around and successful forever, E! points out some interesting facts. Did you happen to see Zac Efron on Entourage last week, in which he played himself? Well, not only is Zac helping us get to know him by playing himself, but he's also reaching a decidedly different audience than that of High School Musical. And possibly picking up some new fans.

Because Robert Pattinson is under such a microscope and so many people go crazy for him, he's been hiding away recently. Which means we rarely ever get to see him or hear him talk anymore. It's hard to feel that personal connection. We're interested to see how Robert Pattinson's upcoming movie, Remember Me, does among the non-Twilight crowd. Can he prove he's more than just a teen heart-throb?

E! suggest Robert Pattinson host Saturday Night Live like Zac Efron did. We agree, but aren't quite sure he has the personality for it. What do you think?

The more we think about it, the more we see why Zac Efron, though not currently as popular as Robert Pattinson, might end up being around longer. But, of course, we're hoping Robert Pattinson doesn't go anywhere any time soon.
