Robert Pattinson's Hair Up For Auction?
Pattinson's shorn locks move in mysterious ways.
We reported early last week that Robert Pattinson had gotten a haircut for his role in Water for Elephants. An interesting new development suggests that a secret operator pocketed Pattinson's hair and may be putting it up for auction.
Pattinson received a haircut two weeks ago, between his appearances with Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres. Pattinson joked he'd been suffering head lice, but then revealed to DeGeneres that he'd chopped his hair for his Water for Elephants role, which began filming last Thursday.
But apparently after Pattinson's barber appointment, reports showbizspy.com, "his discarded hair has gone missing." A source close to Pattinson has been quoted saying, "Someone collected it and Rob is concerned it will end up in some tacky auction. It's probably about the most valuable hair in showbiz!"
We checked eBay at Wednesday's press time, and there was nothing listed under Robert Pattinson's name except a "small book" with no photos. Meanwhile we sort of think Pattinson's handlers manage every detail of his life, even down to appointments for personal hygiene -- there are freaks out there who'd love a piece of Rob...or his hair. (Yes, us.)
