Rudy Giuliani Gives Up His Seat For Michelle Obama
Rudy Giuliani: First Ladies first.
Rudy Giuliani may be the former mayor of New York City, but maybe sometimes titles will only get you so far. It's reported that at last Wednesday's Game 1 of the World Series between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies, Giuliani had to give up his prized regular seats behind the Yankees dugout so that Michelle Obama could sit there.
Michelle Obama and Jill Biden participated in pre-Game 1 ceremonies and were escorted onto the field by baseball legend Yogi Berra. Some reports suggest Giuliani wasn't too happy when the First and Second Ladies arrived to their seats because he didn't want to give up his favorite spot...but we wonder how true that really is. It's said Giuliani scooted to a place behind the photographers' box -- not a bad view -- so that Michelle Obama could sit close to the players.
However, the rain put a serious damper on last Wednesday's game. Sources say Mrs. Obama ducked somewhere undercover for the duration, leaving Giuliani's dugout seats unoccupied for all nine innings.
She's an important figure, that Mrs. Obama...and recently it was announced that she'll also be an important figurine.
