Ryan Lochte Wants $750,000 to be 'The Bachelor'

Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte wants to be the next Bachelor ... for a price.

For as dumb as the swimmer Lochte comes across in interviews, he's being smart and taking his new celebrity status and running with it.

He's already landed a role on 90210, declared that fashion is his passion (so look for a Lochte clothing line at some point), and now wants a crack at being the next Bachelor.

RadarOnline.com reports that Lochte's asking price is $750,000 for the gig. Not exactly chump change, but he is an Olympic star, after all.

A source close to the action tells RadarOnline, "Ryan's agents are getting besieged with offers and deals, everything from The Bachelor, his own reality show, and some overseas movies."

The source added, "Ryan is acutely aware that he has to attach himself to the right projects and endorsements that won't do damage to his all American image. As much as he'd like to do it, Ryan does have some reservations about The Bachelor because he wouldn't have any control on how he is portrayed on the show."

I've got three words for him. Don't do it.

He'd probably be better off with his own reality show or Dancing with the Stars than tackling the ever-cheesy Bachelor.

He's also best served by anything that doesn't require him to speak very much -- case in point, watch this compilation of his interview responses.
