Sandra Bullock Was the Highest-Paid Star in 2009

You go, girl!

I have to admit, I was a bit surprised by the news that Sandra Bullock was the highest-paid star in 2009. Of course, I love her, but aren't there other actors and actresses who get way more hype? Then again, Sandra did have quite a few hit movies in 2009.

45-year-old Sandra Bullock is as hot as ever in 2009 and this year, she earned the spot of highest-paid star. Good for her! She had quite a few hits in 2009, including The Proposal ($315M worldwide), The Blind Side ($200M so far), and All About Steve (only $33.8M). The awesome part is that before Sandra's award-winning 2009, she hadn't starred in a movie since 2007's Premonition. Sounds like she's making a comeback!

In addition, Sandra Bullock's movie The Blind Side broke $200 million at the domestic box office, making her the only female star to do so. What a good year for her!

Who else made the list of highest-paid stars? It will probably come as no surprise that Johnny Depp is the second highest-paid actor of the year (but also takes the award for sexiest!) and Matt Damon was the third. Here's the rest of the list:

Are you surprised about any of the highest-paid stars? I was a bit surprised 23-year-old Shia LaBeouf is on the list, but Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a huge box office success and must have helped Shia get on the list. Shia LaBeouf's future is only looking brighter and brighter. It seems a bit hard to believe only two women are on the list, but I have a feeling that will be changing soon, as well, especially now that a female is at the very top!
