Sean and Hopper Penn: Like Father, Like Son?

Is Sean Penn's Lookalike Son Hopper Headed Down Dad's Legal Woe-Ridden Path?

He looks like the perfect combination of his attractive parents, dad Sean Penn and mom Robin Wright; he's frequently in the company of his rowdy father; and he's named after famous hellraisers Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson … is it any wonder Hopper Jack Penn seems to have a penchant for getting into hot water himself?

The National Enquirer (via Celebitchy.com) reports that Hopper Penn has become a major handful, especially during quality time with dear old dad.

“Hopper is basically Sean’s Mini-Me!” says an Enquirer source. “He’s feisty, prone to picking fights and already a first-rate womanizer.”

Among his offenses: The 17-year-old was arrested in 2009 -- at his ritzy Malibu school -- for being in possession of drugs (reportedly hydrocodone), and, according to The Enquirer, recently nearly came to blows with a man at the beach while surfing.

“(Sean and Hopper) surf together and hang out … at Zuma Beach in Malibu … Hopper got into it with another surfer who claimed Hopper stole his wave," The Enquirer reports. "Hopper suggested they settle the score on land. He was looking for a fist fight, and Sean didn’t discourage it. Fortunately, the other guy backed off.”

Sean Penn also took Hopper with him to the Cannes Film Festival in May, where the younger Penn served as his dad's wingman while papa Sean picked up women, and the junior Penn also apparently picked up a few (older) models of his own.

“(Robin Wright) is worried that he could wind up getting involved with drugs and land in legal trouble again," The Enquirer's source says. "At the rate he’s going, Hopper is well on his way to becoming even more of a handful than his dad!”

Hmmm, perhaps the Penns would have had better results if they'd named the kid after Tom Hanks and Ron Howard …
