She Confirmed on Facebook That She's Expecting Her First Child

Her hips don't lie, and soon, her tummy won't either: Colombian pop star Shakira confirmed the rumors that have been swirling for months, that she and her Spanish pro soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique are expecting their first baby.

Shakira officially announced her happy news via her Facebook page on Wednesday:

"As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!" Shakira, 35, wrote.

"At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days. This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I'm sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular … Big kiss! And will see you very soon!"

Shakira and Pique have been together for more than a year, and though the announcement of her pregnancy is throwing a wrench into her immediate plans, she's already plotting ahead for her next major career move.

Shakira, who has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide, and Usher will take over judging duties for Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green on the fourth season of The Voice next spring.
