'Sopranos' Cast Reuniting -- for a Nickelodeon Movie
James Gandolfini and Michael Imperioli Are Among the Sopranos Stars Popping Up in Nick's Upcoming Kids Movie Nicky Deuce
The Sopranos cast … in a kids movie?! It is indeed a Nickelodeon made-for-TV movie that will reunite Sopranos stars James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola, as the foursome will co-star in fellow Sopranos alum Steve Schirripa's Nick flick Nicky Deuce.
The movie is based on a children's book -- Nicky Deuce: Welcome to the Family -- written by Schirripa. Schirripa, who has also penned a series of books that includes A Goomba's Guide to Life, The Goomba's Book of Love and The Goomba Diet, is producing Nicky Deuce and will also star in the movie.
The plot: Nicholas Borelli (Noah Munck, iCarly) is a nerdy teen who's sent to Brooklyn to spend the summer with his Italian-American relatives.
There, he gets an education on how some of his relatives live, and, according to Deadline.com, which first reported the Sopranos reunion happening for the movie, Nicholas gets the nickname "Nicky Deuce" and accidentally becomes involved with a gangster named Bobby Eggs, who will be played by Gandolfini.
As for that Sopranos movie fans of the HBO drama have been waiting on to finally answer the question of whether or not Tony Soprano got whacked while noshing on onion rings at Holsten's, rumors persist that Sopranos creator David Chase has been working on a script for a while now.
Here's hoping we see the whole gang back at the Bada Bing soon. In the meantime, their Nicky Deuce get together will air on Nick next year.
