Spanish People Prefer Passionate Love

What do you think of when you think of love? Most people would say it's about closeness, about affection and long-term commitment. Most people would say it's about companionship. But then again, most people are not Spanish.
According to a recent survey of over a thousand Spaniards, 80% of them believe that love is based on passion, strong physical attraction and intimacy.
The study also found about 30% felt that "obsessive, intense, almost violent love" was perfectly acceptable.
This view of love, say researchers, is common among Latin countries and may likely have something to do with the fact that their cultures are generally considered more expressive and passionate than those of Northern Europe and the U.S.
So if you're looking for the right chico or chica to put that fire in your loins, a little less snuggle and a lot more rock-and-rumble, Spain might be your best bet.
